She's growing so fast

We were enjoying a quiet evening at home when we looked up an saw Hannah walking behind her toy for the first time! We've never shown her how, and she's shown no interest in this particular toy before either. She quickly got frustrated with our small living room, so we moved out to the hallway to give her more space. Look at her go!

Loving Life

I just wanted to take a minute to update everyone on how we're doing. Nothing "big" has happened, just us growing together as a family. Our life has settled back into a routine since the miscarriage. I continue to teach part time, and take care of Nathan and Hannah the rest of the time. Next school year I won't be teaching at all in the classroom, only a handful of piano lessons. One of the classes I'm teaching now ends tomorrow, and the rest 4 weeks from tomorrow! It's hard to think that this fall will be my first fall with no school schedule since before my kindergarten year.

When Nathan and I decided for me to just teach piano lessons next year, we started to pray for students. Months ago (at 2 different times) I'd sent flyers home from the school with no response. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to find students. It's been about 4 months since the last flyer went home, and in the last 2-3 weeks, I've had 4 families inquire about lessons. I've already started teaching two students!

After school gets out, we're heading west for a couple weeks!! Nathan works for the homeschool currriculum our church puts out. He's been asked to travel to the Chicago area to represent the curriculum at a homeschool convention. And Hannah and I get to go too!! He's also able to take a couple days of vacation so we can visit our many relatives in the Midwest. We'll get to see his brother's family and his sister and her husband. We'll also get to see both sets of my grandparents, my sister and her family (and brand new baby!!), my parents, my brother and his family, as well as stop for an overnight to see friends at the Wilds Camp in NC. It will be a fun filled 2 weeks!

This is the busy time of year at our ministry--we have 4 different graduations to attend, a wedding, mother's day luncheon (Hannah's first outside the womb!!), recital, and several other things I'm forgetting at the time. It's busy times like this that we're so thankful we live so much closer than we used to. What a blessing to have a home on property and to be able to walk to work most of the time. We're so happy and content where God has us and the ministry He's given each of us.

I'll share a small blessing with you before signing off. A week ago Saturday, Nathan and I were walking in a neighborhood and saw a little baby pool, which reminded me we'd be able to get Hannah a little baby floaty chair for the pool when we go on vacation. The next morning at church, a sweet lady gave us a bag of brandnew things for Hannah. Inside was anything she'd need for a pool--a baby swimming pool, baby chair for a larger swimming pool, beach ball, innertube, swimsuit, and 2 pairs of flip-flops (with back-straps!). We've already been given swimming diapers too. God supplies our "wants" (none of these were really "needs") before we ask Him. God is good!
